I did something kind of stupid and lost my password for the wireless network at home (128bit/hex) and have no way of finding out what it is for a few days. In the mean time, would it work if I copied the User > Library > Keychains > login.keychain file from computer #1 to computer #2 to another to get on the network?

Thanks

You could just open the keychain for computer 1 and get the password... That would be the easiest. Unless you don't have the password, in which case...

Yeah, I forgot what the password is. It's approximately 20 characters long and just random characters and really hard to memorize. Hopefully I'll find the slip of paper that its written on.

So, you don't know the AP password OR the keychain password?

You're so screwed. Time for a factory reset of the AP.

But do you know the password to your Keychain? If so, open Keychain Manager, find the appropriate password (for your network) in the list, and click "Show password."

I do know the password to the Keychain... I didn't realize it would expose the password. I'll try this out when I get home!

Thanks
