Keynote vs PPT?
Mac vs PC?
AMD vs Intel?
Nvidia vs ATI?
No, the real battle is one that takes place in office kitchens and canteens throughout the world.
Coffee or tea...

If so, it wasn't effective.
It should end with the global elimination of either one or the other.

Your analogy could use some work. Radiohead may be English but tea is as English as Chinese food or pizza or hamburgers is American.

True, but the way we consider 'tea' now is a far cry from what was originally considered tea in 1960, which was Chinese. The process that tea goes through these days, with the addition of milk and sugar, is far more British than anything else.

Coffee is pretty much the only thing that's been readily available anywhere I've ever worked, and I expect that to be true for a while, at least at those places. However, I'm in training (almost finished!) for a completely new career, and I believe that tea will be much more available in some of the settings I might find myself than in those I used to work at.
I.e. I used to be in the Air Force, and while it was not uncommon for someone to make tea, there wasn't usually hot water sitting there, ready to brew tea with, while coffee was almost always there, ready to drink. I'm going from being an electronics technician and mid-level manager of such technicians to being an occupational therapist (only two semesters-both internships-left to go!), and the whole attitude is a lot less "pragmatic" and a lot more holistic. It should be interesting.
But I'll still drink coffee if it's available, and probably not bother with tea.
(The above is proof that three left turns equal one right turn. )

It doesn't. And it makes you sick. Though there are some decent microbreweries out there that may impress you.

There's a unique brew from Brooklyn, NY called "Manhattan Special" that may be of interest to fellow coffee/espresso drinkers.
It's essentially a lightly carbonated fiercely potent espresso infused with an enormous amount of sugar. It's got quite a kick. If you can find it, try it!

I just returned from a roadtrip into the US (to San Francisco). In general, Americans are ignorant about tea. They pour hot (nowhere near boiling) water into cup and put the tea bag next to it. Or they ask you if you want it iced even after you've specifically said you want hot black tea. On three separate occasions, I had to tell cafe and coffee shop employees how to make hot black tea. You think that they would at least educate themselves about how to make tea properly since they offer tea on their menu.
Also, herbal tea is not black tea. And when I asked for milk, I was invariably offered coffee cream or non-dairy powdered creamer (isn't that stuff bannned?).
Thank god for Peet's Coffee & Tea in Portland and Berkeley.

How to make the perfect cup of tea
This is actually very good, and all those tea fanatics might enjoy it, although it is very British. To quote my favorite part:
For best results carry a heavy bag of shopping – of walk the dog – in cold, driving rain for at least half an hour beforehand.
This will make the tea taste out of this world.

I’ve never heard about tea coming out of Radiohead. Sounds kind of gross.
Sort of like coffee, which is also a highly disgusting beverage. Tea is good, though. Especially when it’s boiled with milk, honey, cinnamon, cardamum, and lots of other good spices, and called chai. Then it’s nothing short of sublime.
Also, never underestimate the smarminess of a self-centered member on his way to a fifth nick.

As well you should be. It’s the way an old Indian friend makes chai: tea leaves in a big pot, bring it to a boil in milk (not water) and simmer for a long, long time, adding honey, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, pepper, lemon balm, and lots of other stuff along the way.
The resulting drink is almost enough to make you float a few inches above your chair with delight.

Probably a lot less than the Brits. Which, in this case, is a good thing.
Kidding, I actually don't have a problem with the English. I actually lived in Kent for a while. It is just the Irish in me that spark off sometimes. Don't take it personally.
