Now I have to admit, THAT is cool!

How did you get the clear shell off without damaging the rest of the mouse, though?

I picked up the rainbow stickers on eBay, apparently the stickers that used to come with macs were the coloured ones.

You can pry off the top casing by using a very thin flat head screwdriver, and =slowly= working your way around. It looks like it was glued on in a couple of places. I haven't replaced the glue as the top cover is secure without it.

Looks cool. I'm going to try it with one of the black ones and a blue Apple sticker. I'll post the pics afterwards.

That's cool.
I believe those stickers last came with the beige G3. After that machine, the stickers were white.

TomHMeredith: Funny. When I read the topic of this thread, I thought you had transplanted the optical system from a new Pro Mouse into an old ADB mouse. I still think the old ADB mouse was the most ergonomic (single button) design ever.

Sorry to dissapoint.

I'm afraid I hadn't been introducted to Mac's when those mice were around.

I know someone who did that with one of the old square apple mice.

Tom: No disappointment at all. Yours is still an absolutely cool hardware mod that is sure to delight many Mac users.

Only problem is that the old square mice were not terribly ergonomic. Still, mods are fun regardless of whether they are practical.

I love it, this is one of the best mods I've seen for ages for the simple reason that we can all do it, without the risk of knackering everything up! Nice One.
