hey all!

Just switched service to cingular, and got the cool and very awesome T616. I got the 6.99 per month add-on to let me use the web, and on the sheet it even said that the phone could then act as a modem. So, i just paired the phone and PB (17 incher), and i dont know what to do at all to make it so the phone acts as a modem. Can someone please help? I know I paid for the internet thing extra per month, and it is a new GSM phone. Please help me with like step by step since I am totally new at this. Sorry if this has already been asked, I did a search but it didnt pull anything up that answered this.

OK, did exactly what those directions said to do and when I go to the modem status and connect it immiedialtey(sp) says that it cannot open te communication device. Bluetooth is turned on for both the PB and the 616. Are you guys sure that the script this guy has for his t68i will work with my 616? I have AIM with the screen name IdenityCrisis109 if someone wants to IM me and try to help.

Thanks everybody!

Justin,
I received the same error. I had to re-pair my T616 with my Powerbook in order to get it to work. When pairing be sure to select data exchange under how you will be using the phone to connect. Once you do this it should work.
