hey, Right now im trying to get two external displays to run from my book. my tv withch im running svid to yellow through the vcr, and a regular computer monitor on that one. But only one of them works at s time, it there a way I can run the tv, monitor and my pb at the same time? just wonderin, it would make final cut much easier to work with.
thanks'

You don't say which PB you have, but you can't drive more than the internal display and one external display, be it a TV or a monitor. Current portable graphics chips can't drive more than 2 displays at once (including the internal). If you have a PB with a PC card slot, you could get a video card that could drive another monitor, but I haven't seen those in a while.

For DV editing, the correct solution is a FireWire DV bridge to the TV. That will have the correct color representation on the TV, too.

I just got a new powerbook 15 inch.

With my ibook I used to be gently with it, but after a short time I learned just to shove the sucker into my backpack and go on with life.

Do I need a protecting cover or can I will this computer hold up will in a bookbag?

How careful do I have to be and if I need something what should I get?

thanks.

Your PB probably costs around $2000, you tell me if you need to protect it. If you use money like water then do whatever you want with it, but if you value your computer you'll want to protect it.
