I have a 2.4ghz MacBook Pro w/ an NVIDIA 8600M GT and I can't get over 60 fps in Counter-Strike 1.6 running on Vista via Boot Camp. I have set fps_max to 101 in the Counter-Strike console and still nothing. I even tried "developer 1." The strange thing is that in Counter-Strike: Source, a much more graphically intensive game I can get fps in the mid 100's. Anyone know how to fix this?

It's probably set to sync the frame rate to screen refresh rate. LCDs have a technical refresh rate of 60 Hz (they don't have real refresh rate in the sense the CRTs have, but they have to report something. It's usually a checkbox somewhere that you might uncheck.
Note that this only affects the number in the counter - it still won't draw more than 60 frames per second to the screen, but then neither does any other game.
