I was doing some work with photos in iPhoto then copying the files to another folder and opening them in Photoshop. Somewhere along the way "Picture clipping 1," "Picture clipping 2," and "Picture clipping 3" appeared on my desktop. Where did they come from and why? Thanks.

You inadvertently dragged images to the desktop while working on them.
