I jave a 2010 Mac Pro 8 Core (2x 2.4)

I want to upgrade RAM, I have 3 4gb modules already. Since each processor likes multiples of 3 can I add:

3 x 4 GB modules to one processor
and 3 x 8 GB modules to the other?

or would it be optimal to stick with the same size module over both processors and fill all 8 slots with 4GBmodules?

Thanks for the help.

I think you can do it, since you can do 4x4GB on one CPU and 2x4GB on another and this shouldn't be any different.

If you can do it, it should be better than 4x4GB in each, since you'll have more memory capacity and bandwidth.
