My TV died a month ago. I hadn't used it for a couple of months before that so I didn't bother replacing it. I feel fine.

So go on, unhook that baby and pop it upstairs in the spare room, facing the wall. Then find something else to do. You'll love yourself for it.

When you don't find anything you want to watch on tv... that's a good thing. Life is short.

It's the first step, admitting you have a problem.

Find shows that have been on for a few seasons or more and dig into them - watch 'em marathon style. I've done this with Smallville recently and am enjoying it. Had never seen the show before, until three weeks ago when I got to watching all the seasons. Am now about half way through season 6. Good stuff.

I haven't owned a TV in years. Never miss it. I don't even use my EyeTV for anything but my consoles either.

And that works for you? I was thinking about getting one, but I'm still unsure. The reviews are defintiely mixed.

It depends. As you've said before. You use mostly racers, which requires split-second reflexes. I use it for mostly wii-type games like sports, wario ware, tiger woods golf etc. where lag isn't an issue. That said I haven't noticed any lag in any of those either.

I've been hooked on TCM channel quite recently. I found it very entertaining watching old classic movies. At least, I now know some of the big stars during the 30's, 40's & the 50's. Most movies during that era are clean and fun.

TV is a wasteland. Skip the crap, download or buy the good shows.

After you get past the first few days of heavy duty DT(v)'s.

Good to see ye, Uncle Doofy!
