Is this thing for real? I checked The Apple Store and didn't seen anything there. I find it repulsive and intriguing at the same time.

(and no I'm not spamming...that's why I blurred the url in the ad before posting it)

I was just thinking this morning that, while not really all that enticing, it'd be interesting if all the brushed metal notebooks were offered in the same colors as the iPod Shuffle.

We appreciate the blurring, though I think someone with a reasonable post count like you would not be taken as spamming. Who knows though, we're an accusatory bunch

I don't think it's Real... It would have to be post-manufacturing, which seems like too much work for these guys...

That's awesome.

It'd match my pink iPod shuffle.

The MacBook looks heavily Photoshopped. Look at the gradient on the top...

It's a GIF.

Anyways, most of Apple's product images are 3D renders. Doesn't mean they're fake goods.

(I'm not suggesting the link is necessarily legit. I'm just saying the use of GIF mockup basically means nothing.)

That would be pretty funny I guess. I always wanted to paint a white iBook/MacBook and put Darth Vader's TIE on it. That would be sweet methinks.

I was extremely excited when I saw this advertisement, but I definitely wasn't going to fall for it. I went to apple and didn't see it anywhere. I looked more closely at the advertisement and noticed that it doesn't say anything about "Apple", it does however say "Macbook" and has the "TM" symbol by it. So I am not sure if it really is an "Apple" computer. I plan on calling Apple tomorrow and getting it all straightened out, because I am very interested in it! Although I am very satisfied with my Macbook right now=)

An Apple rep probably isn't going to know anything about another company buying MacBooks and painting them.

It's a plastic snap on case called a speck case. I have one for my macbook pro. Now they're available for airs, too. They come in all sorts of colors.

I found the site advertising it - it's definitely a Colorware one.
