Hi Folks,

I'm on the road this week and have been using WiFi as offered by many hotels today. Almost every network I have come across is "open" and uses WEP. When I call Guest Tek tech support, they suggest using VPN. Since I don't have a VPN set up, is there an alternative for more security?

My question is should I be sending sensitive information over such a wireless network?

At home I use WPA2 Personal.

I can always go to an old Cat 5 cable. But would like to learn more about security.

Thanks!
If there were no God, it would be necessary to invent him.
