Hi...

Printing to a HP LJ 4250 results in many pages of garbage, beginning with "%!PS-Adobe-3.0 %APL_DSC_Encoding: UTF8 %APLProducer: (Version 10.5.2 (Build 9C31)

Sounds like a postscript or PCL issue, but I don't have a fix.

I have other 4250s on my WAN and I can print to them no problem with IPP (or JetdirectX-Socket if they're on a print server).

The only difference I can think of is that this one didn't come with a NIC, we installed it later.

I tried all sorts of protocols and Apple drivers, but nothing works. Same results with different programs, including textedit.

Any suggestions?

TIA

I had this problem with a HP Jetdirect EX Plus and a Kyocera printer. Can't remember how I fixed it, but it was a case of installing the drivers from Kyocera I think.

Also, moving this to consumer hardware.
