Anyone want me to upload it somewhere?

I got bored one night and made a patch that kills the ads, the space they took up, and that utterly useless search bar.

Great! E-mail it to me at [email protected] and I'll put it up at brad.project-think.com for download.
The server made a boo boo. (403)

No, I have my own space, it's ok. You have to use the patch in Classic (anyone know of an app like ResCompare for X?), but it works.

If you haven't tried it yet, I recommend Adium as a much better AIM client:

Yes, that's an excellent client, and it's under very active development (unlike Fire, but I'll cut Eric Peyton slack because he works at Apple and everything). He's adding all the AIM features to an app with a lot more customization and a much nicer GUI. Dropped AIM X and Fire like a rock when I got Adium.

I have to agree. Adium is very nice. Before Adium, I used to use AIM for OS 9 with the hack and it was nice, but Adium with its single window tabbed users mode is soooo much better. I am just wishing that it supported file transfers and smilies, then I will be set (I hope that these will be implemented soon). Also, I really really like the icon and the signal that it gives when you have an incomming message!!

Not from me. Some other people already made patches, so try looking for them at www.ResExcellence.com

Also, about Adium, I'd like it more if it would import my buddylist from AIM. Adding 128 names manually is not gonna happen =(
