My airport express is currently setup to join my Netgear wireless network, but when it joins the network, it disables the Ethernet port.

I assume this precludes the use of the AE as a bridge? Because when I click on "Base Station Options", all of the options are greyed out. Specifically the one that's taunting me is "enable ethernet port". If I could just click that ON, I'd have my bloody bridge! Grr...

Ah it can, but in order to get it to bridge you have to select "Create a new network". Makes sense! .

It doesn't look like my Netgear WPN823 speaks WDS so I'm out of luck there. Really wish it would just bridge the darn connection when it's a wireless client.

Ah well.
