Steve Jobs is 10 feet from you.
Bill Gates is 5 feet from you.

Both are strapped to a train track, and a train will hit them in 10 seconds. The probability of saving Bill is a little higher than that of saving Steve. Who do you save?

Personally, I'd save Bill. A life is a life, and I'd try to save whatever life has a greater chance of being saved.

Well, I think I would...

There'd be no time for bribes .

Hopefully the train would be operating on Windows ME, and crash before it hit them.

Moderation Request:

Could a moderator add "Steve Jobs...Bill Gates does deserve to die!" ass the 4th choice? That's a perspective that I forgot to include.

...really. I know that most people don't really feel that way, but I'm sure that many would like to vote that way.

In the movie of I-Robot.. the bot will save Bill and let go with Steve.

In reality.. I'll save Steve and ask him to sign some agreements for FREE Apple hardware for life.

They are both very valuable in the sight of God.

They're both greedy asses. Sure, Steve is the CEO of Apple, a company which makes computers I like... but in that particular situation I wouldn't even be thinking, I'd be on automatic. So I honstely can't say who I would save. Probably Bill, in that case, because he's closer. Or really, I would attempt to save both at the same time. I might fail, but I don't think I'd possibly be able to simply make a judgment on the spot and choose who to save and who to let die.

What a dumb hypothetical, 10 seconds is a LONG time, why couldn't you save both?

I'm saying that it will take about 10 seconds to unstrap one of them. There is no time to unstrap both!

if i'd take 10 seconds to unstrap one of them and the train comes in in ten seconds, i'd die trying to save either one.

I'd look for an umbrella to prevent the raining blood from staining my DOCKAHS.

Being in the catbird seat to a a short-selling opportunity like that, I'd be reaching for my cell phone.
