I have been looking at the MacBook and was wondering, how comfortable is a chiclet style keyboard?
Thanks,
Mason

As a professional writer and college student, the keyboard is the most important thing to me. I have a MacBook and I love it. The action of the keys is so tight and quick that a good typist can just fly on the scissor style mechanism keys. For my desk set up, I have a Kensington SlimType keyboard because it uses the same style keys.
Hope this helps.

Thanks, it definitely helped. The SlimType is a very slick-looking keyboard

I was surprised at how solid this keyboard is. While it looks a bit different, it's really very nice.
I moved from a 12" Powerbook and I was used to its sculpted keys. Sometimes, I'll miss a MacBook key just because it's flat.

I do like my friends powerbook keys and how they light up, but so far I am liking the keys on my macbook. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

I like mine too, but have noticed that occasionally the first letter or two will get skipped; it seems as if this occurs more after the keyboard has not been used for a while.
Maybe it's me not hitting the keys hard enough at first, but I would think I got used to it by now. It did take a little adjustment coming from a 12" iBook, but it's not bad; better than I had expected it to be.

Like chabig, I came from a 12" PowerBook and that excellent keyboard. The MacBook's keyboard is just as good. Great design. Natural feel.

It's very different from a PowerBook keyboard, but not in a bad way. The flat keys do take a little getting used to, but once you do they are spectacular. And yes, the edge of the palmrest is far too sharp for comfort, but then again we shouldn't be leaning our wrists on there anyway, right?

yeah i know haha , i shouldnt be complaining, if your sitting on a chair with your knees up and your macbook in your lap, THATS when the edge digs into your wrists.
SO, doubts anyone is going to be sitting like that all the time, so disregard my last remark
