Hiding videos on Macs is so easy; others have got to be dealing with this. . . help, anyone?
Thanks and Happy New Year!

Two words: Disk mode. Look it up. It is a non-obvious use for the iPod's storage and you have to go out of your way to enable it. It is not something that will be stumbled across.

will hiding files using disk mode allow me to just use the iPod as a storage device or will I be able to view the vids on the iPod? If so, any special instructons?
Thanks...

You can store anything on your iPod and still use it as an iPod. The only limitation is that the space you use up with non-music storage is still used up and not available for music.

Why don't you just use the lock feature in the extras menu?

and I appreciate the help so far. . . I've got the video iPod and I want to listen to/watch music, non-porn videos and porn on it, but I only want the non-porn videos to show up when I (or anyone) goes to "movies" or does any such similar search, although I've tried putting them into "music videos" because no one I know would think I'd have music videos on it (iTunes somehow knows these aren't music videos; maybe that folder is just for ones bought @ iTunes store?). This disk mode sounds great, but how will I access the videos that are saved in disk mode? Only by hooking back up to my Mac? That's where the porn is hidden in wmvs, etc.. I'm looking to be able to play the vids on the iPod but not have my Mom/girlfriend/anyone looking over my shoulder when I want to show them a skate, etc. video see all the porn movies, too when I'm going through the menu. Will the disk mode work or any other ideas?
thanks again. . . !

that screenlock might work in a pinch; thanks, but still hoping for a "hidden files" solution. . . .
