Some of us make a living off our Macs and need the fastest we can get. Some of us also have access to hefty discounts so we upgrade for very little out of pocket after selling older machines.

And some of us are packrats who are trying desperately to give away their extra Macs for free (thread coming later today in Marketplace)

I love how it would LIE to you and connect at "28.8kbs", but actually give you the performance of 9600 baud if you were lucky (this was on a Powermac 6100).

Yuck.

I liked my geoport modem, it was fun setting up voiceboxes etc and having your mac call you back and play the messages down the phone etc.

You can't eat all those hamburgers, you hear me you ridiculous man?

Let's see....

1993'ish: Centris 650 w/ a blazing 25 MHz processor. It was a speed demon back in the day!)
1996'ish: PB 5300c (used, still in use at my parent's house)
1998: "Smurfy" B&W G3 (with matching monitor!)
2001: 12" iBook G3/500
2002: 12" iBook G3/800 (Sold iBook 500 at same time)
2003: PowerMac G4 Digital Audio (Used, sold Smurfy Mac at same time)
2006: 12" PB 1.5GHz (Used, sold iBook 800 at same time)

My wife has also had a Pismo from her employer at one point, and currently has a 15" 1GHz TiBook.

Other Apple stuff that comes to mind:
StyleWriter II
Original AirPort Base Station
Original 5GB iPod (Still in use, although the battery's shot)
White 4GB iPod Nano
Airport Express

I think that about covers it. I wonder how much money that all comes to. The Centris 650 and the Smurfy Mac were both pretty pricy machines back in the day. Even if you don't account for inflation and count the used machines at what I paid for them and not what they would have been new, I count more than $10K in computers alone, and probably close to $1K in Apple-branded peripherals....

Mac 512k
Mac classic
iMac (G3)
ibook
G4 Cube
G4 powermac
PowerBook
Mac Mini
MacBook
MacPro 2.66Ghz (waiting for delivery)

I'm tempted to take my Mac classic paint the case black, put in a 9" lcd display and put the mini's guts in the (or buy a PPC mini on ebay) case. I normally wouldn't do this but the classic is sitting in a book case and while I love the lines of the mac, it would be kind of cool to mod it

Mouse:
Apple ADB Mouse II (rollers broken; replaced by Kensington Mouse-in-a-Box ADB/USB)

Keyboard:
Apple Design Keyboard II ADB

Printer:
Apple Color StyleWriter 2400 (replacement for an incompatible (at the time)HP printer that was sold at a discount as a promotional add-on at CompUSA) (internal circuitry damaged during power surge after a lightning storm; replaced by Epson Stylus Color 600)
