Hello,
I just recently have used Hardware Monitor on my G5 Quad, and found that one of my cores was running 15 degrees Celcius hotter than the others while 3d graphics rendering using a multi-threaded application (all cores firing on Application Monitor...). At idle, the 'warmer' core is within a few degrees of the other cores, so it likely isn't a sensor issue.

I found this other thread, but the data is collected using a self written script, so cores are basically at idle, not max temps at all:

I figure it is a cooling design issue, but then if so, I'd expect other Quads to show the same core Max temp bias. BUT I don't have the luxury of owning a stable of Quads (well, I'd love to though...). AND yes, the inside is clean of dust

Does anyone else have Hardware/Temperature Monitor history data for a Quad G5 they'd be willing to share? Just Max/Min temps please, and thank you.

Well, that wasn't as helpful as I would have hoped for, but thank you KR. So I dug some more and found a very old thread posted by the first people receiving Quads. I'm surprised there is so little out there on this topic on the major forums... 3 people report their 4 cores all within 5 C of each other. It appears I may have a problem.
