I have a Canon Lide30 scanner, and Canon came out with OS X drivers (for use with Photoshop) about a month or so ago.

Perhaps you're awaiting for their stand alone program. I think that should be just around the corner. (The hardest part was making the driver... although that in itslef isn't too difficult I would assume).

VueScan works with Canon scanners as well without the drivers from Canon.

Arg, so far so good but one big problem, there is no way to select an application to send a scan through the navigation window. The program goes into an application instead of selecting it and shows all invisible files.
Not good.
Besides it looks great, very Mac OS X like.

Thank you for writing to us. The scanner drivers should be released
very soon. We apologize for the wait.

Thank you for choosing Canon.

Workaround for selecting the mail application: go into Mail/Contents/MacOS and select Mail. Photoshop was otherwise selectable so overall it works great!

This LIDE 30 is a great scanner now that all the functionality is here, small, quite fast and runs on bus power, awsome!
