Various reports are saying that higher builds are out....50's and 60's...just wondering if anybody has played with those and how they are.

Also, if it hasn't been seen on Carracho, I wouldn't expect to hear about it here.

If they have something to say, they'll post--instead of responding to someone else's post.

Someone's bound to say something like "yes, and you know what happened there - we waited and waited and got 4K78 anyway". You just know someone (other than myself of course!) is gonna pipe up and tell us that 6C48 is final candidate as they've not seen anything else on Carracho!

6C48 is, in fact, final candidate. It ships tomorrow. $129 -- $20 if you're "switch"ing.

Sorry, couldn't help my self.

Well, if there is a later build out, I certainly hope they added iSub support, as well as improving the output to the Pro Speakers, Soundsticks, and iSub.

iSub is quite annoying in OS X right now, since there's no control over it's volume (unless you happen to have earlier versions of the iSub). 10.2 still crackles the sound, unless you're using conventional minijack speaker output.

I'd love my OS X if it would only have good sound coming from it, instead of the iSub blaring it's bass in my face.

And if you got the iSub/Sound sticks (don't ask me why) but I and others who got this combo have no problems under X.

Only the SoundSticks + iSub have that (I know, I own both ). Anyways, there is a way to control the volume on the iSub, but it is pretty rudimentary and pathetic. You need a application w/seperate volume control (iTunes for example). Turning the iTunes volume knob to MAX and the System volume to low will lower the bass. To increase the bass, just reverse the two, raise the system volume and lower the iTunes volume.

I take it back. There is no more interruption of sound on the Jaguar build. It usually happened before on OS 10.1.x whenever I use the internet. 10.1.5 fixed the issue where the iSub would be off sync when audio is broken up. Jaguar seemed to fix the interruptions altogether.

Now, they just need to put back the iSub volume control back in the sound preferences.
