hi

my finder produces a strange noise on my powerbook 15 ai. before this noise there was just the ordinary sizzling when using safari, quicktime or eclipse. i sent it in because of the whitespots, but apple did not fix this problem.

now there is a another much louder annoying noise. i cannot locate its possition. but i do not think its the harddisk (TOSHIBA MK8025GAS). the noise only stops for a short time when i quit an application. it is gone for a longer time when i quit the finder.

any hints? i think its a hardware problem that occurs only with some software.
