This is a very stange problem.
It started a few days ago, without any particuliar reason. When I type it in the Finder (no such problem when using other applications), the : key no longer writes the : ponctuation sign but it produces the minus sign (-) instead.
The day before, it was the @ key that dispalyed the < symbol, but this time rebooting took care of the problem.
Does anyone know how I could fix this ? (Again, this problem occurs only in the Finder )

The ":" is not allowed in the Finder. A "-" will always be substituted.
: is used by the System to describe file paths, e.g.
bootdisk:applications:word:my.doc
As to your other key issues, if they continue, I'd reinstall a clean system.

As for the colon/hyphen replacement, lurk was right. As for the @/<, sounds like you might have multiple keyboard layouts installed. Pressing Command-Space (like in Photoshop, etc) will switch to the next language layout in the list. Maybe that had something to do with it?

Well I must admit I had never noticed before that the colon was always replaced by a hyphen.
The other issues, as I said, disappeared when I restarted my machine.
Guess I'll never know what happened...
Thanks for the info, guys
