While I'm a bit hesitant to plunge into more Star Wars, I admit that I did like the 2D clone wars series. I'll give it a shot.

Oh dear, this is going to be bad. I just wish George knew where to stop. Continually trying to wring another round of merchandising out of this increasingly tired franchise is painful.

this is a theatrical release? I thought they were going to make a TV show?

Or perhaps a straight to video series?

It's both, august 15 is the movie and then in the fall a cartoon (mini?)series on the cartoon network. To bad they didn't something along the lines of beowulf in terms of animation.
While it will be nice on one hand to see some new material, I'm not all that jazzed up about it. Episode 3 closed the door on the clone wars and yet Lucas decided to open it back up. He's also monkeying with the storyline such as giving Anakin a padawan learner.
I would have rather seen a live action movie, say episode 7 which was what he originally planned way back in the day (after he did episodes I - III) Instead we get a rehash of the clone wars, and I'm not sure what will be different with this then the original clone wars cartoon series he did on the cartoon network

After the last movie I've given up on star wars. For me it was always only about the Art Direction, Music and Sounds but since the prequels stories and dialogue were so horribly distracting I find it had to even just look at anymore.

Let it die, please. It's prime was episodes 4-6, it's annoying adolescence 1-3, we don't need to see it's fetid senescence.

I predict great success. The concept worked before, right?

Gonna be terrible.
I used to be a HUGE Star Wars fanboy. It was like a religion to me. But I hate it so much now. Star Wars is basically dead to me... and George Lucas can go **** himself. Screw that arrogant blowhard. Seriously.

I think that the TV show will be successful, but I'm not sure about the movie. I can't wait for the live action TV show next year though, especially since Boba Fett is one of the main characters. It sounds sweet.

I really enjoyed Genndy's artwork in the original Cartoon Network Clone Wars cartoons; as did I enjoy the actual cartoons, so I'll probably end up watching this new one, I don't feel that his work translated nicely to 3D. I do not like the look of this new one.

I'll probably watch it. One big complaint I had about the prequels was that you never got to see a truly virtuous Anakin. It looks like they're trying to display that in this form.

Really, it's a good idea on his part. Star Wars always makes money, so why not?

I'm not sure what to say, either the part that it was like a religion to you or now that you seem to have so much anger towards Lucas. He's just a man that produces and sometimes directs movies.
