On the other hand he thought the 12" was great! Just look at all the posts on this and the Apple forum to see all the problems people are having with this machine.

Do remember you get relatively fewer posts from people who do not have problems.
Anecdotally, I have also seen raves about the 12".

Roger that. I've heard some great reviews about the 12 inch. A girl at my school has one and says she loves it. I also think that since the 17 inchers have just entered the market, people haven't really had time to work out the bugs. Hopefully, they won't have to!
