51° 05' North (southern Canada). From my perspective, the streams were reaching fairly far south.
The show has tapered off right now ...

I read something in the news about how we're headed for alot more solar activity over the next few decades. You northerners might see alot more pretty lights (and dead satellites)!

If you know anything about borealises you'd know that the exact same show is mirrored in the southern latitudes (aurora australis).
It's just fewer people around to witness it on those latitudes

I've ever seen the aurora borealis. Another thing to check off my list before I die.

True enough. I did notice that while I was looking at NASA material last night to see what kind of auroral activity was going on. I also noticed that the only southern land mass covered by auroral activity last night was Antarctica.

This thread is useless without... ...umm... ...something or other.

Been inclined to wander... off the beaten track.
That's where there's thunder... and the wind shouts back.

Last night? There were great northern lights last night in Canada. I had a friend out snapping some shots which he sent me this morning.
