Remember the exploding whale? Some kind soul has gone and remastered the video in 4k. Relive what took you an hour-and-a-half to download over your 28.8 modem, but better!

The town of Florence has recently renamed the beach Exploding Whale Memorial Park.

OMG I barely remember hearing about this. What a ridiculous idea.

That said, what is the right way to get rid of a whale carcass?

also this brings to mind:

Not sure if it’s just me—but that doesn’t look very 4K on my screen! Isn’t there only so much you can do with the original source?

Just let it rot. Stinks to high heaven but with the amount of creatures and critters near the sea it goes pretty quickly. The following spring you’ll be picking out your choice of whalebone. I still remember trying and failing to help my dad fit a jawbone in our Dodge Caravan when I was 6 or 7...ended up with some vertebrae instead.
Mankind's only chance is to harness the power of stupid.
