Hey! Well as crazy as it seems, I'm being forced to sell my week old G4 Cube.

Today I visited my University and found a stellar deal I couldn't pass up, so to finance it, this highly upgraded and amazing Cube must sadly go.

The Cube comes in it's original Apple box (although they'll be a fair amount of tape securing it) w/ the original Apple manual and Install Discs just as it came new. The accessories you'll get with the Cube are:

- Original Black Apple Pro Keyboard & Pro Mouse
- Original Apple Pro Speakers w/ grille covers
- Original Apple Cube External Power Supply

The specifications to the Cube are as follows:

* PowerLogix 800Mhz G4 Processor w/ 2MB L3 cache
* 1.12gigs of PC100 SDRAM (2x512MB + 1x128MB)
* 60GB IBM DeskStar 7200RPM ATA/100 Hard Drive
* Apple 8x4x32x Slot-load CD-RW Drive
* Apple OEM GeForce 2 MX 32MB ADC/VGA Graphics Card (upgraded from ATI Rage 128 card)
* Apple AirPort Card Installed

The standard features include:
- 2x USB 1.1 ports
- 2x FireWire 400 Ports
- 56k Modem RJ-11 Jack
- 10/100T Ethernet Jack

The Cube is in absolutely perfect condition...it's stunning to say the least. The case is in beautiful shape and has been very gently treated. It runs silent and is very powerful w/ the included CPU, RAM, Hard Drive, and Video Card upgrades. All of the upgrades have already been installed and tested and work perfectly. I've got OS 9.2.2 and OS X 10.2.6 both installed and the dual-boot setup runs flawlessly.

I really hate to already be letting go of such a beautiful and rare peice of Apple machinery, but I need the cash to seize the deal I've come across. I can provide extra pictures at the buyer's request, and you can see more over at my SpyMac picture gallery HERE . The Cube is astounding inside and out, comesticall and functionally.

I'm willing to part with this Cube for $1,200 or best offer, and if you just take a look on eBay you'll see plain stock Cubes reaching nearly $1,000, and this Cube is much faster than stock. It runs Quake III, SoF II, and RtCW just fine at 1024 resolution on my 23" HD Display.

I can accept PayPal or Money Order, and feel free to post here, PM me, or email me at [email protected] or all 3 for a faster response. Thanks!

Assassyn.. parting with your cube already?! oh man you had really wanted that thing. What are you getting instead? I still want a Cube so badly... but I have promised myself to stop all my upgrades. Hope you get what you're looking for, -M.

AssassyN,

Just wondering, how many Macs do you have? (I saw your page on SpyMac.)

Heh, yeah, I'm a tad indecisive I guess...keeps life interesting

And I currently own two Macs; a Cube (trying to sell) and a 12" PowerBook *def. will be keeping for college...so mobile*.

The system I purchased from my University was a Dual 1.25 G4 PowerMac w/ SuperDrive and a GeForce 4 Ti 128MB that I'm gonna upgrade to 2GIGs of RAM. Get this...the PowerMac system w/ the dual processors, GeForce 4 Ti, SuperDrive, 80gig HD, and all the standard features, PLUS a 17" Apple Studio Display AND 3-years of AppleCare, all totalled to around $2,000...plus, I'm paying for it on the weekend of Aug. 1-3, which is "tax free weekend" in NC for educational purchases, so I save a ton on tax. This way I get dual display and much more upgrade options.

The Cube, sadly, hasta go...I pondered keeping it, but I just cannot physically utilize two desktop machines at once.

Hehe, as much as I'd love to, unfortunately I can't. Apple states that an Edu. customer can use the EDU discount for one computer per year, one display per year, etc., but of course on their website they don't enforce that. But since the deal I'm getting is specific to NCSU and goes well beyond any standard EDU discount, my bookstore won't allow more than one purchase w/ that deal. Sorry bro, I wish I could!

So are you going to use your Cinema HD display on the Dual 1.25 GHz machine and the 17" on the PowerBook?

Nah, I'm going to be using the 23" HD Display AND the 17" Apple Studio Display on the Dual 1.25Ghz machine...the GeForce 4 Ti has an ADC output (23" HD Display) and a DVI-out (17" ADC Display via Apple's DVI-to-ADC adapter).

The 12" PB doesn't have DVI-out anyway, so I couldn't connect a Apple Display to it w/o a $299 adapter.

Interested in the Cube?!

Bingo. Low-balling is what a thread where the seller has had difficulty selling it is all about.

Someone should see that my offer is too low for this computer, and then offer him a better price, thinking they're "getting a deal." Which they would be!

So, in that case, I change my offer to $550. I mean, it's not even faster than my G4 iMac.

Wow, nice offer

If you're wondering, it's now been sold for the $1,200 I originally asked. Thanks to all who showed interest!

You got it

And glad to hear you sold it... though I would have loved to have it for $550.
