Anybody know if there are any USB printers that are powered off the bus? I have a place where I could use a setup like this but I haven't found anything yet.

I don't think it's been done. USB can't provide very much power, and I suspect that it would be VERY difficult to make a printer that could run with that little juice.

Wasn't sure. I thought maybe the 2.0 spec might be able to do it. I was also thinking that since a zip drive can now be totally powered as well as a scanner it might be possible. Oh we'll just have to make some adjustments to free a plug.

Well, zip drives don't use much power. Most printers use quite a bit more!
USB 2 has not changed the power availability.
