I get my internet connection from a Wireless LAN in the next apartment over from me. I pay the guy a monthly fee, and he lets me connect.

I'm trying to set up my own Wireless LAN by using Panther's "Internet Sharing" to my own wireless router, and connect my other tower in the other room to it.

So far, I've got the router and other computer all working, but the my router can't find an internet connection to my computer.

I've got an ethernet cable plugged into the router's Internet/WAN port, and the other end plugged into the Tower's ethernet port.

Internet sharing is started showing Sharing From the Airport To Built in Ethernet

Any ideas why my router can't do internet sharing?

quick response here as I'm on the run and PS, I'm no expert so pardon my laypersonese: I set up my network several years ago so I'm forgetting the details but anyway...my wireless connection is shared out by my airport base station which connects to a wired router which connects to the internet. In other words, internet sharing isn't even used. any number of computers can latch onto the wireless signal independant of each other. so what I'm saying is can the router itself connect to the next door network and then fan the signal out to your computers?

I think if we were both using air port base stations this would be no problem, but I'm on a Belkin, and he's got a linksys, and I don't know if either of us are up to the challenge of trying to hack this to work.
