Wow, cool. But just think how these things would be regulated in the U.S. You would have to wear a helmet and probably a lot of other protective gear, and have a license. Oh, and insurance companies would have a cow.
But I would love a pair.

Was free. Now it's gone. Never to be seen again.
Off to join its brother and sister apps that could not
keep up with the ever updating iOS. RIP Nesen Probe.

They won't even let you use those 2 wheel jobs in the city. The name escapes me at the moment.
You sure could give someone a good kick in the gonads though.

How do these work? Where do you put the gas tank? And what happens if one fails when you're running at 70 mph? Sounds like a really stupid idea to me. Cool concept, but not at all realistic.

Sure...70+ mpg...BUT:
The shoe's tanks hold one-third of a cup of gasoline each and will take a runner three miles.

Now, they have been held up as a symbol of both Russia’s deep and rich scientific traditions
The same traditions they stole/hoarded after WW2?
Interesting idea, I wonder why they didn't use diesel, similar to those automatic pile hammers,

Uh, Russia has always produced great minds in pretty much all fields. In terms of science, Russian mathematicians, astronomers, and physicists have historically been top-notch.

I splashed a couple of drops of diesel on them seven years ago and they're still going strong. Must have done over 5,000 miles in them... ...just off two drops. Someone should tell the hippies!
