Just a stupid question, but would there be any software related reason that my power adapter always glows green (instead of orange) even when charging. When I first got my powerbook over the summer it glowed orange for a few days; however, since then it's been green. My powerbook works as it should, but I was wondering about this today. Is there like a setting or something that's telling it to glow green instead of orange. Not a big deal IMHO as I don't care what color it is. I just was wondering???

Try resetting your PMU and or PRAM that should do the trick, hopefully.

The same happened to my old iBook's adaptor.
I was told that the adaptor has 2 LEDs in, one Green and one Red. When charged just the green is on, but when charging they both turn on, showing orange. The red one had died so it only ever showed green.
I'm not sure whether that's true or not but, in answer to your question, I doubt it is software related, it's probably likely to be a bad connection or an LED 'blown'. It doesn't affect charging, just a cosmetic problem (although it does indicate whether the 'book is charging or charged.

I've had the same experience too. I'm not sure when it started but it was fairly recently, perhaps after the OS 10.3.6 update. Resetting the PMU, resetting the PRAM and fully draining the battery have not fixed the problem.
The battery charges fine, however.

I'm guessing it was just a faulty LED then based on what you guys say. Mine started this right after I got the powerbook... but it wasn't because of a software update or anything... just occured. Anyway, not a big deal... I was just wondering... and what you have said makes perfect sense.
