Well unfortunatly I recently had to send in my beautiful powerbook for service. The LCD had developed a vertical line of dead pixels and needed to be replaced. With no hastle what so ever the apple phone rep took down my information and sent me a box. I called them saturday and I recieved the box the following tuesday (probably a day late b/c of how slow packages are shipped around campus here at penn state). Anyway, I sent my powerbook in on wednesday (caught DHL before they left wed). Anyway, today (saturday) I got my beauity back in tip top shape. There isn't any new marks or bumps, but I do indeed have a new LCD . I just wanted to express my thanks to apple... as I know most of the time the forum only has complaints on it (which obviously you would be more apt to put on a forum).

This is definitely what makes companies like apple (and IBM on the PC side) stand above the competition. Great customer service!

In total agreement. Very recently I had to send my PB17" in for logic board replacement--audio wasn't working at all. The whole thing took what amounted to 3 business days for all the shipping and fixing and returning. Fantastic!
