Recently I've been having a problem with my copy of MX... specifically dreamweaver/fireworks integration. I recently transfered my lisence from my student PC version to my mac... so this is the first time I'm really using it. When I try to edit a picture in dreamweaver by clicking the fireworks launch button it just says that the path for the program wasn't found and then gives the path. Well the program does indeed exist in that exact path. The other option it gives as a possible fualt is there isn't enough memory, which I find hard to believe as I'm running 1.25gb of ram. I've tried to repair par a few times (while running OnyX and all it's other scripts). Nothing helps. This really bugs me b/c this is one of the features I'm really used to.

I had this problem as well.

It seems that if you ever move either app after installation it breaks the linkage between the two as far as integration is concerned.

After rooting through prefs and and the like I finally dismissed it as a pref in a hidden file somewhere or in the app contents.

I removed ALL traces of the Studio MX 04 (and i mean ALL) install and redid it. Haven't had a prob since.

Though I can not get a pref for an external editor to stick.

Hope this helps. Though it prob means a lit of work for you.

Hey thanks for the advice... I would have gotten back sooner but I completely forgot I posted this until I used dreamweaver again today... I will try that over the weekend and see how it works. Hopefully it will solve my problem. I can't remember if I moved anything since I installed it, but there's a good posibility that I did...
