I'm trying to get a quicksilver (hold down T during boot) to boot from a 20" iMac G5 using target disk mode. The firewire icon just bounces around the screen and nothing happens. It also won't work the other way around. Am I missing something very basic about compatibility between these two systems to be able to use target disk mode?

/edit: the quicksilver is only using 10.1.5 and the iMac is 10.4.9. Could that be a problem?

/edit2: nevermind. I got it working, I was thinking stupidly.
