The latch in my Pismo 500 looks and feels very fragile. Have you guys experienced any issues?.
Although I baby my PB, IŽll carry it around a lot and dont want to break it.

There are more solid feeling things than the Pismo latch but it works just fine.

I kinda liked the Wallstreet latches, they went in with a nice resounding, *CLICK!* so you knew there were closed. The Pismo is more of a *tic* and not nearly as confident sounding.

Still, you get used to it, and it works well enough.

The spring loaded button is very substantial. The latch looks small, but so long as you don't use a tire iron to open your computer it will last the life of the unit.

Do continue to baby your PowerBook and it will remain in fine shape for many years.
