The title says most of it, but let me elaborate:

I've got iTunes running on a G4 hooked up to my stereo. I've also got an iBook linked to my G4 via Ethernet.

Most of my work I do on the iBook these days, with iTunes playing on the G4.

Now what I want to do is to control iTunes from my iBook. People have suggested AppleScript, which should work fine, and controlling iTunes using AppleScript on the same computer is not an obstacle. The obstacle is that I want to run the AppleScript on my iBook, but that it should access the G4 one way or another.

Can this be done? If so, how? And if not, is there another way of remotely controlling an application without resorting to Timbuktu and what have you?

Thanks for any help.
