Is there any software that will allow me to treat a CD like a floppy? I really don't like having to use a clean disk everytime I want to save something on a CD.

thats what cdrws are good for.

anyway, try looking into how multisession burning works and if it can be done in OS X. i think cdrecord (an open source commandline burning app) can do and it is done by not closing the session or something but it could also be restricted to certian media types (ie cdrws)

You can use Toast to write ISO9660 discs and later update them (you can even "delete" files, where the updated directory doesn't list a file).

Read Toast's manual to see how to do it.
