i got a D 1.8 g5. k i just bought some PNY g5 certified ram for my powermac. I understand how to place em and how each dimm should have matching mods Going inside out. i basically have 2x256 PNY (lnfineon) and 2x256 Samsung (stock) sticks installed.

yet no matter how correct the placing of the ram is the system still doesn't want to boot. The light lights up but the drive refuses to boot. This is my 2nd set of ram i've got since assuming the last pair was faulty. However if so i match a PNY stick with the samsung on either side the system boots fine and runs well. once i punch the extra 512 in any order, I either get fireware starting up with an error msg "invalid memory access" or an instant kernel panic at the apple logo boot screen.

thank you for your time like always

PNY is PNY. You get what you pay for, which is absolutely nothing...very bad experience with PNY.

My latest stick of PC2700 gives me BSOD at startup in Windows.

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT! buy RAM from Apple.

just don't do it. they charge you out the ass for what you could find for half as much on www.newegg.com or elsewhere.
