I am a newbie but totally addicted to the whole digital music thing, and love to go to the forums and try to absorb all the knowledge that is out there. This could be a new place to share ideas, gear set-ups, links, methods, and the list goes on.

My gear;A brand new Mac Mini w/4gb ram, 500gb harddrive/7200rpm, Gateway C2D laptop, Yamaha S90es, PreSonus FireStudio, Muse Total Workstation Rack
I am thinking that my DAW of choice will be Logic, but a present I dabble with the free Cubase that came with my gear, and Garage Band of course.

I hope you're using that laptop as a doorstop.

When you say "digital music" are you referring to music composition, editing, mastering, etc? If so, these are the greatest times to be into making music. It has never been easier. The computer tools are the best they have ever been.

I used FL Studio when I used to have just Windows at my disposal. With macs I started using Garageband, but found that I needed more options and power. Now I use Logic Express. It's a good app for music. I've never used Cubase, but I've heard good things about it. Another one to check out is Reason. It looks promising. However, I've heard it's got a steep learning curve.
