This may be a stupid question, but is there a way to change the icon size of folders I view as grid from my dock? The default size seems HUGE and I believe unnecessarily forces there to be a scroll bar.

From the View menu, go to the Show View Options menu (Apple-J)
Then adjust the slider to the size you want your icons.

Ok, I opened the folder and selected Command-J, but nothing happened.
I think I wasn't clear in my first post. What I am trying to change is the size of the icons in a folder that I keep in my dock and have set to grid view. (E.g. I keep my applications folder sin my dock. The folder opens in grid view. I want to change the size of my icons within that folder when they are displayed as a grid from the dock.)

Um, he's talking about the Dock's Grid view.
No way to change the size there.
