From my Lounge thread:

OK, first question: Why won't it play any DVDs? I tried Lost in Translation and Napoleon Dynamite, but it was a no-go for both. Apple's DVD Player says "Supported disc not available" when you hit play. VLC makes the drive makes sounds like it's reading, but then it does nothing. Hmmph. Any ideas? The DVDs don't even mount on the Desktop like they do on my Power Mac with LaCie d2.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Did you try other DVDs? maybe this one is faulty?

Hmm, it's working now. Perhaps it was the software update, but U had restarted the machine once already. Anyway, all's well! Never mind. Thank you.

I haven't been able to play any DVDs as well....the software update didn't change my DVD player at all. Still frustrated by it. Anyone know how to fix? These are a variety of purchased, not burned, DVDs that play fine on a stand alone player.
