Well, I went out and bought a 500 GB external hard drive for my Power Mac G5 dual 2.0 GHz for use with Time Machine for both the Power Mac and my MacBook Pro. I'll share the drive via File Sharing on my wireless network.

I'm torn between naming the drive "H.G. Wells" or "DeLorean" Right now it's just "Untitled 1," as I haven't finished installing Leopard yet.

What are you guys calling your Time Machine volumes?

That's funny, I was gonna go with Flux Capacitor when I finally get a drive. I guess it's not so "funny" as it is "obvious".
Being in debt and celebrating a lower deficit is like being on a diet and celebrating the fact you gained two pounds this week instead of five.

Right now, it's Lacie. I never thought to rename it, but as soon as post this, I'll be backing up to Tardis.

I went for the highly unimaginative name "T.A.R.D.I.S". I doubt I'm the only one. Oh and I'm somewhat pedantic, hence all the full stops.

I thought about the full name or at least all caps, but I thought it might cuz some havoc with the file system, what with the periods and all.

And I don't like how it looks. Heh . . .

I suppose one might use "Time Turner" from the Harry Potter series. Or perhaps "Wyld Stallyns" I'll leave it to you to name the reference for that one.

Or you could go with "Rufus" or "Phone Booth" ?

Time_Machine. Much like others. I have 4 external HDs, so I label them with what they are. Media, Media_backup, Time_Machine, iPhoto_Backup. Keeps me from messing them up...
