One of rock’s most popular acts is back in action: The reunited Creed will play metro Detroit on Aug. 25, the band announced today.

The group, the most successful of rock’s post-grunge acts, broke up in 2004 after three best-selling albums, including 1999’s “Human Clay” — one of the last rock albums to reach diamond status, for selling 10 million copies.

Tickets for the Detroit area date will go on sale May 30, with further details expected to be announced this week. The band’s 10-week run, supporting its new album “Full Circle,” will kick off Aug. 6 in Pittsburgh. The group is expected to play arenas, a Creed spokesman told the Free Press.
Creed is one of those bands that I thought was cool when I was younger and now I'm completely embarrassed that I was into them at all.

Now they're back to haunt me.

But yeah, I'll give the album a listen.

"Can you take me HAIGHUHHHRRR!?!?!"

Does this mean that Scott Stapp is abandoning his solo career?

Does that mean Stapp's going on a diet?

He was a drunk whale last time I saw him.

If I were a terrorist you wouldn't need to waterboard me. All you need is a Creed album, maybe some Nickelback for good measure.

Does this mean that Stapp has run out of money?

Oh, wait, never mind. That isn't even a question, is it?

Stapp now has a near-shaved head, their drummer looks like a hobo, and Tremonti looks like he's still stuck in the 90's with his tight-fitting tribal shirts, wet hair, and soul patch.

Stapp will also still write lyrics that try to be deep and epic (but almost always fail) whilst doing his best Vedder impersonation.

Actually, I was not at all interested in anything dealing with Christianity at that time.

Scott Stapp contemplated committing suicide sometime in 2003 after drinking a bottle of Jack Daniel's whiskey. According to Rolling Stone he was convinced that anyone involved with Creed wanted him dead so he would become a "Kurt Cobain martyr-type" and increase record sales. "I had crazy thoughts going through my head," he said.[17] However, he decided against suicide upon seeing a photo of his son just as he had the gun held to his head.

Knowing something sucks doesn't mean you "listen" to it.

The waterboarding comment is spot on too.

Did he even have a solo career, granted I had not followed him since he left creed but I don't recall hearing anything from him. The big question will they be able to get back what they had lost, and will Stapp melt down again.
