Almost!

In that string above, you want to put a / before the "img" at the end. So the last tag would read [/img]

Step 1) Click the "All Sizes" button on the photos Flickr page.

Step 2) Chose the size you want to post. (Across the top next to "Available Sizes".)

Step 3) Scroll down to #2 "Grab the photo's URL"

Step 4) Copy that text, (Not the #1 text, the #2) and paste it between IMG tags here on the forum.

Step 5) And this is part of the Flickr agreement, you MUST link back to the page the photo is on.

Here's my example:

Code:
[url =http://www.flickr.com/photos/jasoco/89544130/][img ]http://static.flickr.com/21/89544130_23a29a4dec.jpg[/img ][/url ]
It's an old picture from one of my Macumentaries

If you feel confident, you can instead modify the #1 code Flickr gives you and I told you to ignore.. It'd look something like this:
Code:
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/jasoco/89544130/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://static.flickr.com/21/89544130_23a29a4dec.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="Success, She Lives" /></a>
You'll want to take the link from the href="" part and use that in a [url= ][/url ] tag. And the src="" URL in an [img ][/img ] tag enclosed in the [url= ] tag.

Make any sense??

I got a new desk. It's quite nice, but it took forever to build. Anyways, it doesn't seem to be very photogenic (my camera sucks ). But, the other day at work I silkscreened myself an Apple t-shirt. So I took this picture to show my friend the shirt I made, and the new desk I bought.

I realise my Stifler face makes me look like an asshole. Haha, take it for what it's worth.

There's alot you don't see in this picture *sigh*

Weird. I have no problems with cover art. Is that a FrontRow problem or iTunes 7?

I usually just play on gun game mod servers, cause those are sweet as shizz. As for clans i dont really have that much time to play in a clan, so i never got into joining one for CS:S.

CS:S is sweet on 1440x900 widescreen...

Lots of great pictures, and some very swank setups, only one thing bothering me (personal thing)...

If you go back to the start of this thread there are the original old school iMacs, then you move on to the hip G4 iMacs, but then it is nothing but the newer looking iMac flat models, and I HATE THOSE! Oh well, like I said it is a personal thing and I just can't stand the look of the new iMacs. We need ANYONE that is still using the original old schoolers or even the R2-D2 to post up some pics! Getting tired of seeing a boring iMac

I actually agree with you to a point. I love the G4 iMacs. Those, in my opinion, are the greatest thing Apple ever made. If only they were faster.

I know the new iMacs aren't the most appealing to date, but have you seen a 24" in person? It's quite impressive, I think anyone who has seen one would have to agree.

I agree too, and I'm about to sell my beloved G4 to help pay for the Core 2 Duo I've just bought. I've said all along that the latest 2 iMacs were released in the wrong order when it comes to their industrial design. Oh well. I wonder what the next one will look like?

g4 imacs are great...but aesthetically its plain dated. for one the base doesnt even match the screen in color (gross and tacky, like wearing a black shirt and black pants that are different blacks). two...the bezel on the screen is horrendous and unnecessary.

i find the new g5 imacs a lil less 'innovative' and a lot more space conscious along with the fact that its basically a monitor that happens to have a computer within it. i find this boring but functionally excellent and once the chin disappears...which i believe it will soon enough...it'll be one awesome machine.

I'd disagree that the G4 iMac is dated per se. Apart from the original luxo, it's pretty unique, so if it appeared today for the first time, it would be pretty current. Also, there is no real difference in footprint, but a far greater improvement in screen adjustment.

Having said all that, I can see why Apple went the way they did. The arm, while beautiful, can be fragile and is just wasted money for those who don't specifically want it (VESA gives the option for those with a non-iSight G5 or 24"). The drive to lower costs has ultimately resulted in the 'wow' factor being moved to the price and features. Sitting here, waiting for a 24" iMac to be delivered, I'm not complaining.

Here's mine: 24" 2.33gig Core 2 Duo with 2gigs of RAM and the 7600 video card, bluetooth keyboard/mouse, 60gig iPod video, 250gig external HDD in a cheapo USB enclosure, Linksys router, Wacom Sapphire tablet, Epson 4990 scanner and an ancient Sony mini hifi. Out of shot is a 15" 1gig G4 Powerbook. The desk is an old office desk that I picked up in a secondhand warehouse and sawed to fit.

A truely awesome display, and blindingly fast with it.

Oh, and a rubber dinosaur and a mug of tea. I'm British, don't you know...

Ok I guess I will do it. Here is a new pic of my setup. My iMac and my Alienware. I have 2 more computers to setup in the new office room, and a new desk to buy, but for now let us admire the cool iMac for a second.

And my base and bezel match thankyou very much

I love this thread! If you look on the very first page of the thread, you'll see my old setup. I very much miss the look of luxo, but the new iMac is a screamer and seems even more functional (if not as beautiful) space-wise. I got a chance to clean things up a little.

This is what it looks like now:

I've owned all of the form factors of the iMac. Here they are:

Very nice! Although the fingerprint police are going to nail you! Haha. I love the old original iMacs so much. Makes me want to run out and buy one just cause. Also putting the G4 and C2D next to each other shows me just how much more space the G4 gave us. Those newer iMacs are more desk-hoggish then I would like.

Hey all,

Yep, the G3 belongs to my 5 year old so it is always finger printed.

As for the G4, the backlight on the LCD went. That is what forced my hand to upgrade. I've been told it is anywhere from a $50 - $400 repair. The backlight bulbs are like $15 but as with anything on the iMac G4, there is a bit of labor involved.

I still love the G4 design. I really wish Apple did some type of combo of the two, where the LCD could remain thin and be more flexible. Maybe the next rev...

The mousepad is made by Allsop... I'm not sure it's "special" but I like the feel of the surface. It sure doen't slide around on the table either.

The thing to the right of the camera is the volume/bass controls for the logotech speakers.

A better question is, can you identify the object with the green led under the Dell monitor?
