I'm trying to buy a nano (for myself, miraculously at this time of year), so I sign into the Apple Store and the price of the iPod nano does not go down. What is going on? I even went through checkout to see if it would and nothing. Huh?

Different things have different discounts. Maybe the margin on the nano is so low that they don't offer an edu discount on it at all?

All iPods have not had an Education Discount applicable since the 2006 refresh.

Not in California, they don't. Only military folks and senior citizens get a discount, and I don't think that's even 50%.

and the student discount here only knocks a movie ticket price from $9.50 to $7.00. and that's only one day a week.

That is correct.

Why is there always money for war, but none for education?

from $10.50 to $8.75 here at one place, and like yours, only one day a week
ot: if you're at an apple store at the right time, i've still gotten discounts on a couple of iPods when you mention your student discount. they either 1. don't care or 2. give it to you and a don't tell anyone about this look.
