I'm having a number of photos in iPhoto throw up this console error:
03.01.10 14:09:03 iPhoto27220 Corrupt JPEG data: premature end of data segment
03.01.10 14:09:03 0x0-0x52f52f.com.apple.iPhoto27220 Sun Jan 3 14:09:03 spherics-MacBook.local iPhoto27220 <Error>: Corrupt JPEG data: premature end of data segment
The symptom is that they will show a black screen when double-clicked or when I try to edit them.
Dragging them to the desktop exports them just fine and at full resolution, but though opening them in Preview works just fine, Preview throws out a similar error message in the console.
Anybody know of a Utility that I can just have run over the iPhoto Library folder to fix these files?
FWIW, some of them are directly from an iPhone 3GS camera, some from my Fuji F30.

Have you tried to get Preview to save them? Maybe edit a tiny bit (crop one pixel at top or bottom) and then save?

That error usually means that part of the file is missing.

The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.

I appear to have narrowed it down to about ten pics, taken with the iPhone over a particular weekend.
I wonder if the iPhone ****ed this up, or whether the old hard drive was doing strange things.
