Alright, no poll, because I don't want anyone to bitch about how I left out certain brands.
What's your favorite cookie ?
I love Lebkuchen, a German Christmas cookie. The variety packs are just great.
Around Christmas, you can snatch them in the US at Trader Joe's.
So, what's it for you ?

Homemade: Chocolate chip, no questions asked.
Store-bought: Oreo Double-Stuff, of course. Pure sugar at its finest!

Screw cookies. It's all about brownies.
But as far as cookies go, chocolate chip or macadamia and white. Homemade cookies always taste better than store-bought, too.

I recently found some cookies made by Bahlsen in a local store. The name of them is Hit and they are rather tastey. This is a German company but the product comes from Poland.

I've seen those in the local grocery and wondered if they were good. I'll have to try them, now.

any hot/melty chocolate chip cookie from the oven. you cannot get any better than that. any other cookie is not as good. thin mints (from the girl scouts) are a close second though, they are delicious.

Yup, called "Prince" over here, they used be called Chocoprince but that's probably politically incorrect these days (chocoprince=gay man).
But then again, everybody calls them chocoprince.
I also like a plain petit beurre by Lu.
Both made in Belgium by Lu/De Beukelaer.

Why so many store-bought cookies? I'll take freshly-made chocolate chip over any store-bought cookie.

To make a chocolate chip cookies yourself is a no brainer.
It's much harder to make good Lebkuchen or Prinzenrolle cookies.

I'd still take even the simplest of home-made cookies over the fanciest store-bought ones.
And how hard can it really be? Got any recipes (for me to give my wife )?

My wife makes some amazing Cowboy Cookies. They have a little bit of everything in them except for butterscotch. I hate butterscotch flavor. They are crispy on the outside and soft and moist on the inside.
Her recipe makes hundreds of them and for some reason she has a hard time scaling it down. So when she makes them it takes all of a saturday and there's enough for a few weeks.
