Linksys Wireless G Router
Comcast Surfboard Cable Modem

Computer:

Macbook Pro CD 10.4.8.

Newest versions of Adium and iChat...

My problem is that i get internet on the home network, but my chat clients never work. They say "Lost Connection with Server...Broken Pipe". Once I go back to school, chat clients work again.
Any thoughts?

Are the necessary ports open in your home Firewall (if you use one)?
