I'm thinking about getting a cheap USB GPS receiver and using it with Route 66 on my PowerBook when on the go. Reading on various forums, and on the Route 66 website, I get mixed information as to whether the devices will need a driver to operate or not. It seems that very few of these will ship with Mac drivers. So either I have to download some miracle-code, or they just work?

Anyone got either of these two, and can let me know if they work or not?

Navilock USB
Haicom HI-204E (links to slightly different model, but shouldn't matter)
12" PowerBook, 1GHz, 1.25 GB RAM, 60 GB HD, Dell 20" Widescreen
